Claws gouged the ground in a hopeful attempt to get a grip on the land. Loud rumbling noises sounded through the woods, creatures fled and wolves cried, for they new what was happening. A life would end tonight, maybe, and all who could hear new of this. Their sorrow filled cries filled the night air, crisp and fresh among the wounded sounds of the wolves tearful cries for the one who is the unlucky.
Teeth gnashed together and froth flew in separate random directions. Two bodies collided and their fur bristled. A white light grew around their darkened silhouettes, the moon watched what it had help create. The dark crimson liquid that spread among the dark abyss. The two creatures of the night growled and spit, their bodies colliding and rolling.
Canines gripped each others prized pelts as they fell to the ground, both so exhausted their faint pants echoed in the abyss. Their muscles flinched and their bodies shook back and forth still trying to become the lucky one, the one who would walk away from this, while the other stayed, permanently.
A light tan figure launched teeth and nail into the others body, a loud cry shocked the woodland and all became silent, the faint labored pants and gasps echoed in every animals minds. The quickened pulse of one animal, and the light pulse of the other.
A figure, the tan one, fled his gait proud and confident. The darker one laid in it's grave, a dark seductive liquid surrounded him, coated him, stung him. The struggling breathes sent chills into the forest. The moon weeped as a film of fog layered the earth, a creature of the night lay gasping for breath under it's white shining light, helpless.
Aro laid in the small pit, his body caked with blood. The smell of wolves still filled his nose, and the taste of another's blood oozed from his mouth. Light noises caught his attention as he lay motionless under the moons bright glare. His body was unmovable as he waited for the fog to engulf him and take him from the earth. His chance at luck ran through the woods with a limp, but a life while he laid at the dirt without a life.
A shudder ran through the woods as Aro choked on blood in his throat, a deer stood on the edge of the pit watching the predator die, a hawk witnessed the moons creation slowly fade away, a wolf trotted through the trees a winner of a game no animal wished to play, a limp to his leg and a bitch at his side...

The question at the time seemed s absured, it was only Aro to laugh at it. Do I look fine pup? Aro chuckled, his breathing roughened and he coughed then shook his head. Tired, but still able to find humor in the wolfs words. You should leave, this is no place for you. I-I'll be fine eventually, it's only a few cuts and scraps that can heal. Once I get away from here True, but with a pit so deep, it's the main reason why wolves die here, fights don't kill, the pit does. Weakened wolves strain and strain, but the slippery walls of the pit hold them in like a wall of steel, food never comes and water never stays.
The shaken wolf looked around startled to find the walls sleek and taller then he remembered. His legs could no longer support him, climbing the wall would more likely kill him if he fell in a wrong spot, looking at the rough earth, a hole he fell in could snap his back in two.
Still Aro pulled himself to his feet, wobbling and afraid he placed on mangled paw on the wall and pushed upward with his two back legs. His claws struck the earth over and over, he got half way. His back legs missed his target and he tumbled down the slick mud and landed with a loud thud on his side, he gasped for breath and blood leaked from the corner of his maw. Just. go. You'll only. hurt your. self. bein. g... Aro took a few deep breaths as he panted on the ground, here
His head lifted from the moist mud under it and looked into the wolfs eyes, his own light brown gaze burning, but weakened with the stat he was in. The fight, was one he would never discuss if he lived. Well not what it had been over in the first place. and partly because it had been a complete fail in his part, he was winning at first, the other wolf's leg snapped, Aro could have won, but his own legs slipped and he fell into a pit inside this trecherous aybss and the other had drug him out by his neck. Aro crindged as rain struck him, the wounds burned with the water hitting them. leave...

His gray steak face was shocked, no one really ever wanted to be near him, but in his state his wouldn't complain now. Okay, pup, how do you plan to get me out of here? and it's all I can call you until you tell me your name. His eyes burned with curiousity and a rage. His normal state he would lash out and fight right then and there. The wolf was no use to him. She was young still and looked like she could do no more then cause trouble.
He would not speak his name. His amber eyes glowed slightly with a fury as he pulled himself to his feet after recuperating. The amber orbs searched the pit, his heart sunk when he saw no way of escape for his dulled body. The orbs sunk back on the other wolf. A flare of hatred rang in his ears and he almost attacked, but pain flared at the first step of his lundge. The light bulb struck. Piss me off... I bet I'll get up there real fast if I'm mad...
His maw widened and he took a few steps back, almost falling when his leg gave out. He found the thing he hated the most about her, the scar on her face. He let a heat rush over his body and he shoved from his spot, whining as he ran from the rad flares of pain.
His forelegs caught the steep incline and blood spilled from a hole in his neck, the worest wound. His body went limp, then strengh flooded back and he shoved upward, snarling in a filthy, frothy, mess.
His back legs caught the edge and he shoved, but his upward shove transferred and his forelegs gave out, dragging his chest along the dirt, while his hind quarters thundered along the dirt, unstoppable.
Aro laid frozen with pain, his breathing was labored and sounded like he had been shot in the lung, wheezing and coughing up blood. The wound in his neck coated the area on his chest in warm red liquid and a dark blackish sustance [dirt], I got up... Touch me and you won't have paws by morning. He glared up, his amber eyes glowing in the fog and rain.

Aro grumbled under his breathe. Wanting to find shelter from the rain. He lifted his head, both nostrils dialated. The low light of the forest made him squint to see anything around him, then he raised his snout. The nostrils flared as they took in two deep breathes before he stood and glared at the female. From here she looked nice, scared and scary, but hmm cute? Is that the word for it?
Aro raised his body slightly, his head coming up from it's defensive stance into a calmer more approachable pose. Both ears flicked forward and his eyes grew far more curious then previously, the golden embers looked like they were warm, like a fire was burning within them, warm and crisp, rather then their humid wet condition.
Both paws took a step, his body ached but he must go on. The scent of a dull black bear trail lined his scent glands and brought his heavy bulk to a large red wood tree. Beneath was leaves and bear fur, a den. Obviously, by scent, abandoned. You can leave, I don't hold anything over you. I'm going to rest here, away from the rain, it's large enough for two, but it's your choice.
Aro watched the female in the distance, his eyes squinted from the pouring rain, his black fur looked darker and sleeker as it clung to his fur. The vines around the tree rattled their leaves, Aro slipped into the root den and dug a hole in the far south side of it and sighed before lowering himself to the ground, the bear fur provided instant warmth as his body shivered with cold and pain.
Waiting on the female, weather she came or not, he cleansed his wounds. The hole in his neck would have to be later, when the rain stopped and he could use lake water to clean it. The gash in his leg was the worse after the neck wound, he licked it until blood flowed evenly over it and it tasted of pure blood and not dirt and mud and rain water.
The grey fur around him made him wrinkle his nose slightly, but it was warm and his body was cold, warmth could save him, he could still die tonight, and this fact was what scared him. His life was not over, he was only half way through with it. Five was still young. Aro closed his eyes, the amber flames extenguished for the night.

Aro felt the tepmature drop and woke, his amber eyes lighting the fire once more. Darkness was all he saw at first. Then the shapes of mounds of fur started to become distinct. A light breath caught his attention, another animal was outside the tree.
Both ears flicked forward and he crawled to the entrance. The 'pup' was there. Her coat lay drenched and her scars prominant. His snount nudged his shoulder as he laid in the entrance of the den. Wake up. Are you really stubborn enough to sleep drenched? Aro rested his head on his paws as rain pelted his head, it felt like someone holding his head down it was so strong.
His tail slowly dipped side to side in the den. Both Amber eyes were glued to the female. She had something enteresting, something that made him want to know her. What this was he didn't know, but that was the best part, if he knew he would leave her. She would have been an open book, but she isn't and it was the reason he stopped his attack when he leapt from the pit. The reason she lay unharmed...

Aro lifted his head, amber eyes fixed on the female. Well, your stupid, and that would be a fight to be seen, a wounded half dead wolf kick your ass. he sat down, his body ached where his wounds were, mostly his legs from where he had stood and faught. The only reason he had lost last nigths fight was an unfortunate hole in the ground, the other wolf had a broken leg and would have been dead in seconds had he not fallen.
The wet, stail air mad any creature want to go back to bed, but it was this air that found the best hunting time, every animal was slower and every preditor was at it's best, the fog hid their pelts as they stalked, and the rain hid the noise their paws made, and the strong scent of rain hid their own.
Aro knew this well, and it's why he had woken briskly. Both amber eyes closed and the black wolf stood his nose taking in deep breathes, the scent glands were in hyper mode as they picked up the scent of whitetail deer. Aro's favorite. Without a glance in the females direction he started off into the trees, his limping back leg and lowered head. Aro was a sight for sore eyes.
Over his shoulder he snapped, Wake your butt up and come on. Grouchiness was what he was. Nothing would change the way Aro was. Yet, a small since of wonder filled his air. He was happy, even if he didn't express it in the nicest of manors, finally someone who he didn't want to kill. Something this special, made him weary.
Every instinct told him to find shelter from the rain, to go back to bed and rest, but his stomach and mind told him to hunt. To kill. The deer, he suspected, were laying in the grass trying to sleep through the storm. While predetors hunted them, unaware.
The herd of does were hudled in a large mass. The fawns nestled in the middle of it all while a few bucks trotted about, every so often one would grunt and send a blow into another and a small war would fire off where all the bucks started to fight, rearing and headbutting. Aro just rolled his eyes and lowered his body to the ground, amber orbs fixed on a small doe who was grazing away from the bucks, who kept pestering her, a strong smell overwhelmed Aro, she was in etris. No wonder why the bucks were hyper, they wanted her as a mate. Stupid animals. Aro snorted, then stalked closer. The doe raised her head and looked around, Aro lowered himself into the mud and rested his head on his paws. The doe looked down.
Aro bolted, in a small wave of horror every deer stood and ran. Aro chased the female away from the herd as the bucks quickly lost intrest in the doe. Normally Aro would chase the deer intil it fell from exuation, but he ached and didn't want to run miles around the forest, so he leapt and tackled her, his mouth gripping the throat as the doe tumbled to the ground, flailing and squeeling in his grasp. He satin smooth blood spilled into his mouth as both lay panting in the dirt.
Her legs stopped flaining and Aro released his grip, her body shuddered and then in one painful second her lungs died and a slow heavy breath let loose from her body, some said that the breath was her soul leaving her body, but Aro thought of it as meal time. Scooting down and licked her belly and rested his head on it, thank you... then took a tuff of fur from her skin and tore her stomach open, eating at the ribs and avoiding the organs...

Aro raised his head, his snout was covered in a layer of crimson liquid. Drop it. He stood licking the blood from his maw. In a flash, both previously glowing ember orbs darkened and a black circle grew larger. His glare focused on the female. He would rather keep the start of the fight to himself, he barely knew the female.
Aro let the carcass of the doe lay peacfully in the grass, forever still, and limped to a patch of clovers. Nosing the clovers he lowered his weight into them and folded his legs under him, both forearms streched with his head lain on them. His ember-like eyes balanced amber colored again, a flicker of fire still set in them.
Where'd you get your scars from Aro refered to the long scar from her face to her chest and the scar from her foot to her flank sarcastically, mostly to get her to not tell him so he had reason not to tell her the cause of simple fight. Excuses Excuses...

Katelyn looked at the other wolf until he got up and sat in the clovers. She looked at him again, but then quickly averted her gaze to the ground as she put her head down, facing the ground as she heard him ask his question. She looked to the side, avoiding his gaze completly. "I uh... I-I got in a fight," She studdered, thinking of what to tell him. She spoke the truth, but that wasn't the whole truth.
Katleyn had a flash of rememberence go through her mind, and as she looked up, a rememberence of pain in her eyes. She remembered the night well and wished to forget, but it would be forever burned in her memory, no hope of escaping to another lie like she told herself everyday.

Aro stared at her, not the answer he wanted in either way. so like I did? What was the fight about? If you tell me, I'll tel you. Aro raised a back eye brow and stared at the female, amber orbs glowing intensly with curiousity about the scars the female held. and what's your name? Mine is, Aro thought a moment and looked the female over.
my name is Aro
